What the Bleep news, interviews, thoughts to ponder and reviews

From The Filmmakers
Thoughtful commentaries and occasional rants

By Betsy Chasse

My motto for the last couple of months has been “Stop Bitching and Start a Revolution!” (You might have seen our new t-shirts stating this!)

One of the things that triggered this has been the way the film has been treated by mainstream media since the U.S. - and now world-wide - release of the film. I find myself getting frustrated with the fact that most the press has treated this film with incredible hate and anger, with many “journalists” and “reviewers” spouting their own opinions (usually closed-minded ones) rather than attempting to print the facts.

I can understand their disagreeing with the content of the movie. But many have taken a sophomoric approach, attacking us for having the audacity to ponder the concepts of what is thought and reality – while they get stuck in their own limited world. They attack our scientists as not being credentialed. (Did they never hear of Einstein? What letters did he have behind his name? Oh yeah, he was just that nut job working as a patent clerk.) They attack us for misrepresenting the facts – yet they have misrepresented so many facts over and over again about us and the film. Historically when someone dares to ask questions outside the accepted paradigm they are shunned and called a heretic. But nowadays we don't have to burn people at the stake - we just hand them to the press! (Click here for the full article)

The Little Book of Bleeps - #5 on the trade paper best-seller list!

The Little Book of Bleeps has been steadily climbing the trade paperback charts for weeks. According to Nielsen BookScan, a retail book sales monitoring service, major retail purchase information last week puts Bleeps at #5 in trade New Age paperbacks. Hidden Messages in Water and True Power of Water by Dr. Masaru Emoto ranked # 2 and #3. Looks like the message is really getting out there!

Observing the scientific method

by Cate Montana

It was pure synchronicity.

I had been reading Lynne McTaggart’s The Field, and had highlighted a fascinating section on Dr. Jacques Benveniste’s research into basophil degranulation (the reaction of certain white blood cells to allergens).

It was not his experiment that interested me. It was the fact that, in his fervor to make his findings as replicable as possible by other labs, he built a robot that diluted the antigens, mixed the dilution with the blood cells and then read the results. It was a foolproof testing procedure, except for the fact that…

“Once Beneviste had got his robot up and working, he discovered that generally it worked well, except for certain occasions. Those occasions were always the days when a particular woman was present in the lab. … The woman herself, a doctor and biologist, was an experienced, meticulous worker. Nevertheless, on no occasion did she get any results.”

After six months of the same dynamic he couldn’t avoid the conclusion: something about the woman was preventing positive results. Troubled and curious, he developed a means of testing her, and discovered that she was emitting electromagnetic fields, which were interfering with the communication signaling of his experiment.

Quote of the Month

"The fantastic is not to be equated with the imaginary. But a powerful imagination working on reality will discover that the frontier between the marvelous and the actual - between the visible and the invisible Universe, if you wish – is a very fine one."

The Prophets Conferences – clarity, unity and integration
By Gabrielle Sagona

Contemplating my experience of the Prophets Conferences so far, three words came to mind: clarity, unity and integration.

At the conferences I have had the opportunity to ask all the scientists questions as simple as “What do you mean?” to “What is Quantum Entanglement?” to “Where is the observer?” and “How do I apply this to myself?”
