From The Filmmakers

Thoughtful commentaries... occasional rants

by Betsy Chasse

Last week the whole BLEEP crew was in Portland for my birthday, and someone tells us about this review in the Portland Mercury of a new film out called Illusion, produced by Mark Vicente – which is kind of a surprise to all of us, because Mark didn’t even work on the film. So we get the paper and here is what we read:

“Any film that sports a glowing rave on its cover from Mark Vicente—one of the directors of the integrity-free new-age cult propaganda flick What the %#!(* Do We Know?—gets an automatic red flag. In the case of actor/filmmaker Michael Goorjian's Illusion, the flag is bright, screaming, magenta-pink red, as Vicente also happens to be one of the producers. I guess the only positive quote the Illusion team could find was... from one of its own members. Or maybe that team has simply given up the façade and accepted its status as the least reputable filmmaking organization in America. Regardless, I forbid you from supporting Illusion, a shameless piece of "spiritual," father-and-son reunion crap centered around a stroke-addled Kirk Douglas, whose mush-mouthed performance is not a touching last hurrah from a legend, but downright discomforting to watch..."

The Oneness Movement

by Cate Montana

Started in India in 1991 by twin avatars Sri Bhagavan and Sri Amma, the stated purpose of the Oneness Movement is to uplift humanity’s consciousness from a state of chronic separation and suffering into a state of enlightenment - the awareness of wholeness and oneness – mainly through an energy transmission process called deeksha. Acknowledged as teachers and bringers of enlightenment and god-realization by more than 20 million adherents around the world, Sri Bhagavan and Sri Amma’s goal is to bring enlightenment to a minimum of 64,000 people worldwide by the year 2012.

The primary methodology to accomplish this is deeksha, a transmission of the energy or frequency state of enlightened oneness. Deeksha has been made available to people outside the confines of the Oneness Movement’s India headquarters since 2003, and often takes the form of a laying on of hands. The transmission, which is accomplished by a trained initiate, is designed to re-pattern neural functioning in the brain, and thus create a shift in thought processes and the dissolution of personal perceptual filters that foster the illusion of separateness.

What the bleep is different about What the BLEEP - Down the Rabbit Hole

When is a Director's Cut more than a director's cut?

When you fall down a rabbit hole, you never know what you’ll find. Yes, we still track Amanda’s journey of self-discovery through this 156 minute extended director’s cut of What the BLEEP Do We Know!? – but this time her story is slimmed down and the science is beefed up to include:

• Four new characters – two scientists, a journalist, and an animated Dr. Quantum
• 90 minutes of new, never-before-seen material
• A new exploration of Entanglement, the greatest mystery in physics
• Twenty minutes of new animation, including the Double-Slit Experiment (often called  the context of quantum physics – and  STILL not understood!)

This is the deeper exploration that audiences have been asking for. To find out more about the movie click here.
